Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is a world renowned private research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1861 and to this day is one of the most recognizable universities across the world. The institute has many public parking facilities which may be used for students, businesses, and vendors with an official MIT parking pass.

Parking spaces for guests with mobility limitations are available, yet limited, as MIT attempts to accommodate every visitor who wishes to park on campus. They also offer temporary parking passes for those with disabilities and/or limited mobility.

Motorcycle parking is available on campus as well, although all motorcycles parked on campus must display a current MIT motorcycle permit. There are various off-site parking lots and areas which are available for purchase in advance.

Oversized vehicle parking is available as well on a first-come, first-served basis. Every oversized vehicle parked on campus must also display a current permit. Permits are available for purchase on the official website.
